This my summary on the sequel to Hush, Hush with the title of Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick. So here it goes. So, Nora and Patch are still going out in the beginning of the book. They get into an argument and break up. Now Nora is feeling like a third wheel when her best friend Vee starts going out with Patch's friend Rixon. Nora then starts taking an interest in her old friend Scott when he moves to Coldwater even though she thinks he's hiding something. She only takes a liking to Scott at a pathetic attempt to make Patch jealous. Massie or Marcy or how 'bout I call her the Evil Witch. So anyway, the Evil Witch starts hitting on Patch and it is really annoying Nora. The Evil Witch also invite her to a party at her house and Nora and Vee decide to snoop around. Nora steals her diary and ends up dangling out the window. Patch helps her and takes her home. Nora then decides to do a little more snooping so she sneaks into Scott's room and finds a ring with a fist on it, similar to one she received in an envelope along with a note that said "THE BLACK HAND KILLED YOUR DAD." Nora gets even more freaked out when Scott breaks into her house and almost kills her but here comes the cheesy romance stuff comes in, Oh look, it's Rixon and ?Vee? to the rescue. Scott gets arrested and he turns out to be Nephlim. Scott then breaks out of jail and follows Nora to a fair and chases her all over the place and then some how Rixon shows up and has a gun and he shots him down. Scott disappears and Rixon tells Vee to get the car and Rixon and Nora take this creepy passage way in a funhouse. Rixon turns out to be the one trying to kill Nora. The stupid part was that he admitted it to her and she then took off. She went farther into the funhouse and guess who she found. Scott!! Rixon finds them and Scott tries to protect her. Rixon nearly chokes her to death and just before she goes completely unconscious, she thinks she sees Patch behind Rixon. Next thing she knows she is in an ambulance with the police and she found out Rixon was gone. Nora gets home and gets a voicemail from her mom and also one from Scott. He survived and was leaving again. He said that he was going to miss her and wishes he could see and he said not to look for him. Patch comes to see her and of course they get back together and he takes her somewhere the archangels couldn't find them. Patch told Nora that Rixon was in Hell and was never coming back. He said that he loved her and then they had a surprise guest. To their surprise, Hank Millar shows up and asks an unexpected question. he asked, "Nora, do you know where my friend Chauncey might be?" Pretty creepy, right? Oh, I forgot to mention. Hank is.... Nevermind, you'll just have to figure it out because he has a big part in the book.

Hey Guys, I know I haven't posted in a while but I'm back! I have not-so-recently gotten back to school from summer break and I have had TONS of projects. Anyway, my awesome, previous English teacher suggested that I read a book called Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. I thought that it was an over-all good book so here was my summary of it: I loved the book, it was amusing to see the picky little fights between the main characters. Now for the main characters, Nora and Patch. Nora lives on the edge of town in Coldwater, Maine. She goes to high school and has a best friend named Vee and lives with her mom. Her dad died when she was a kid and she hates the popular girl at her school, Marcie or Massie or something that starts with an M, I can't really remember. Anyway, Patch moves to town and ends up in Nora's biology class. Soon after, she thinks she is being followed, thinks someone is watching her outside of her window, and she hits a mysterious man in a ski mask. Patch also slowly grows on to her but always seemed to get on her last nerve, he manipulated her and treated her like she was completely vulnerable. For some stupid reason, they end up at Nora's house in the kitchen, Patch about to kill Nora and end up kissing until Nora's mom calls. It also turns out that her dad had a little Nephlim blood so now so does she and she is related to this freak named Jules who pretends to go out with Vee and he stalks them and he tries to kill Vee and Nora and killed Nora's friend Elliot but, (again with the cheesy romance novel stuff) Patch comes to the rescue and Jules (or Chauncey) died, or I think he did at least and they end the book basically with them stating that Patch and Nora are going out, Nora is part Nephlim, and Patch was a fallen angel and is now Nora's guardian angel. Really CHEESY ending but it was a decent book. Oh, I forgot to mention that the school social worker ended up being a pshyco-path who wanted to date Patch and kill Nora, so yeah, really messed ending but s good book.

Hey, My parents got me this book at the public library called A Princess of Landover by Terry Brooks. I haven't started the book but the description makes it sound interesting. Here are the exact words: Ben Holiday, Chicago lawyer and mere mortal turned monarch of enchanted Landover, has grappled with scheming barons, fire-breathing beasts, diabolical conjurers, and extremely wicked witches. None of whom have prepared him for the most daunting of challengers-a teenage daughter. Sent by Ben and his beloved sylph bride, Willow, to an exclusive girls' prep school, headstrong (and half-magical) Mistaya Holiday has found life in the natural world a less than perfect fit. And when her latest rebellious antics get her indefinitely suspended, she's determined to resume her real education-learning sorcery from court wizard Questor Thews-whether her parents like it or not. But back home in Landover, Mistaya's frustrated father is just as determined that the precocious princess learn some responsibility, and he declares her grounded until she successfully refurbishes the long-forsaken royal library. Mortified by the prospect of salvaging a king's ransom in moldy books-and horrified by word that repulsive local nobleman Lord Laphroig seeks to marry her-Mistaya decides that the only way to run her own life is to run away from home. So begins an eventful odyssey peppered with a formidable dragon, recalcitrant gnomes, an inscructable magic cat, a handsome librarian, a sinister sorcerer, and more than a few narrow escapes as fate draws Landover's intrepid princess to the last place she's expected to go, and into the thick of mystery that will put her mettle to the test-and might bring the kingdom to it's knees.
If you like fantasy books then this is perfect for you.
